I currently work at Verizon
Communications, on a great team focusing on voice services, both VoIP and PSTN.
We released VoiceWing: a VoIP service
for consumers;
iobi: a set of call mangement services for
the PSTN; and built a WiFi network in payphones throughout Manhattan.
In a former life
I used to be a Program Manager at
Microsoft, developing web services for the bCentral
small business portal, and managing security and privacy features of the Microsoft
Passport.
I joined
Microsoft through the acquisition of Firefly Network Inc., a Cambridge
based agent technology startup. As a developer I delivered the first
recommendation engine to Barnes&Noble and negotiated a set of privacy
standards (OPS & P3P) with Microsoft, Netscape, and the World Wide Web
Consortium. These privacy initiatives (P3P) are now part of
Internet Explorer 6.0 release.
Have you noticed?! I only seem to work for companies that have logos that are
black, white, and red all over! Hmm ...
